A chance to meet rescue dogs
Stray Dogs Center will join the walk with rescue dogs who are looking for permanent homes. The aim is to raise awareness of animal welfare and adoption, so even if you are not ready to adopt, it is a good opportunity to learn more about how rescue in the UAE works.
Inspired by a former foster dog
The idea came from Sawyer, a former foster dog who now holds the title of Wellness Supervisor at the hotel. According to the hotel, the walk reflects its aim of building a pet-friendly community where no one is left behind.
Who is involved
The walk is organised with four partners: PETWITHIT, The Petshop, Puffy Woof and Stray Dogs Center. Participants will receive goodie bags from the partners, and dogs will be treated to complimentary Puppuccinos.
Why it is worth joining
A group walk is an easy way to get some morning exercise, meet other dog owners in the neighbourhood and give your dog new sights and smells to explore. The early start also helps, since cooler morning temperatures are kinder to dogs' paws and energy levels.
If you go, bring water for your dog, keep them on a lead and check the pavement temperature with the back of your hand before setting off.
