Dubai Basketball names Red Bull energy drink partner
Red Bull is Dubai Basketball's official energy drink partner for 2026/27, in a deal that includes new community spaces for people across the city to play.
The partnership was launched with what the two brands call the world's highest-altitude basketball dunk, performed by Dzanan Musa and Justin Anderson on a helipad 303 metres above Downtown Dubai.

If you have been looking for more reasons, and more places, to pick up a basketball in Dubai, this season brings some good news. Dubai Basketball has named Red Bull its Official Energy Drink Partner for the 2026/27 season, and alongside the matchday branding, the deal includes plans to create dedicated spaces where the local community can play and connect through the sport.
The club announced the partnership on 4 November 2026, describing it as a way to bring fans closer to the team and support the growth of basketball across the city.
A dunk 303 metres above the city
The partnership was launched with a stunt the two brands describe as the world's highest-altitude basketball dunk. On the helipad of the Mandarin Oriental Downtown, Dubai, in Al Wasl Tower, Dubai Basketball players Dzanan Musa and Justin Anderson teamed up 303 metres above the ground. Musa threw an alley-oop pass and Anderson finished it, with the city skyline behind them.
The moment was filmed with aerial footage that moves from sunset into night. It ends with 600 illuminated drones forming the Red Bull and Dubai Basketball logos above the city.

What the partnership includes
The deal goes beyond logos on the court. According to the club, it covers:
- Community spaces: Red Bull will support Dubai Basketball's plans to create dedicated spaces for local people to play basketball.
- Fan involvement: The two brands will run digital and fan-led initiatives through the season, including interactive voting and content on both brands' platforms.
- Matchday and training presence: Red Bull will be visible around Dubai Basketball's matchdays and training, and will work with the team on content and communications.
No dates or locations for the community spaces have been announced yet.
What the club says
Dubai Basketball President Dejan Kamenjašević said the two organisations share "a belief in pushing boundaries and creating experiences that people remember."
He added that the partnership gives the club a chance to bring that energy to fans and the wider community, creating new ways for people to experience basketball and be part of what the team is building in Dubai.
Why it matters
Dubai Basketball is now in its third season. The club describes itself as the first and only sports franchise representing Dubai and the UAE on the international stage, and it plays in both the EuroLeague and the ABA League.
For fans, that means top-level European basketball on their doorstep. For everyone else, the more interesting part of this deal may be the promise of new community courts. Team sports offer exercise, routine and a real sense of belonging, and more places to play could make basketball easier to try for people of all ages and abilities across the city.
We will share details of the community spaces and fan initiatives as they are announced.
