C Resorts elevates Mauritius on the global kitesurfing stage with the 5th edition of the C Kite Festival
From 26 to 28 June 2026, C Resorts will present the 5th edition of the C Kite Festival at C Mauritius Palmar, reaffirming its commitment to creating signature experiences that go beyond hospitality and contribute to the international visibility of Mauritius.

Conceived as more than a sporting event, the C Kite Festival embodies the brand’s vision of lifestyle hospitality, where energy, creativity and human connection shape each moment. Through this initiative, C Resorts continues to position itself as a curator of experiences, bringing together communities, talents and cultures around shared passions.
Since its inception, the festival has grown into a recognised meeting point for the international kitesurfing scene, attracting world-class athletes, media and a new generation of travellers seeking active, experience-led destinations. Each edition has reinforced its role as both a platform for the sport and a showcase for Mauritius as a dynamic playground for wind and water activities.
Organised in collaboration with Antoine Auriol (kitesurfing expert, producer and former world champion), the festival reflects a deliberate ambition: to anchor Mauritius within the global kitesurfing circuit while highlighting the island’s natural assets and lifestyle appeal.
This year’s line-up features some of the most influential names in the discipline, including Lorenzo Casati, Big Air World Champion 2025; Zara Hoogenraad, Big Air World Champion 2024; Giel Vlugt, pioneer of the double loop; Hannah Whiteley, three-time British Kitesurfing Champion; Clément Huot, twintip world record holder 2026; and Louka Pitot, five-time French Champion and ambassador of C Resorts. Their presence further strengthens the event’s international credibility and reinforces Mauritius as a destination capable of hosting high-level sporting gatherings.
Over three days, the programme will combine professional performance with immersive experiences. Open riding sessions alongside the athletes, a downwind from C Mauritius Palmar to Poste Lafayette, and competitions such as Best Trick, Big Air and Fun Race will take place alongside a curated series of beachside moments, live music and evening gatherings, reflecting the brand’s signature approach to social and experiential hospitality.
A key highlight of this fifth edition will be the introduction of the Kite by Night show, presented for the first time in Mauritius. This night-time spectacle, featuring illuminated kites and LED-enhanced performances on the water, introduces a new visual dimension to the sport while creating a landmark moment for the destination.
Beyond the event itself, the C Kite Festival contributes to the broader positioning of Mauritius as a vibrant, experience-driven destination. By bringing international athletes and media to the east coast of the island, the event also helps highlight another facet of Mauritius’ kitesurfing potential. It reinforces the east coast as a compelling setting for wind and water experiences, while supporting Mauritius’ visibility across key markets.
“Reaching a fifth edition is a meaningful milestone for the C Kite Festival and for C Mauritius Palmar,” says Olivier de Guardia, General Manager of C Mauritius Palmar. “Beyond the sporting dimension, this event is a showcase of our teams’ savoir-faire and dedication. From service and culinary experiences to entertainment and guest engagement, every detail is designed to create moments that feel both vibrant and deeply personal. It reflects the spirit of C Resorts: generous, energetic and inherently social, where people come together to share experiences in a relaxed and uplifting atmosphere.”
With this fifth edition, C Resorts continues to affirm its role as a catalyst for meaningful experiences, shaping moments that resonate beyond the stay and contribute to the destination’s global narrative.
